Handmade made from the simplest materials that we are used to using in everyday life and which are much easier to get is much more valued. After all, not all people have access to shops for needlework, scrapbooking, etc., where stencils, forms, blanks and accessories are sold. In addition, it is always a pleasure to recycle or reuse household items or clothes, giving them a second life. Therefore, in this article you can learn how to make a fan from forks (disposable, plastic). It can be made for yourself or as a gift to a friend, mother or grandmother, complementing the main ideas with your own and introducing innovations. And for our fan, we need 15-20 disposable plastic forks, ribbons and lace to decorate suitable colors, 2-3 cm wide, hard cardboard or unnecessary CD-disk, hot glue or Moment.

Fan made of disposable forks, MK (master class) for the manufacture of which is described in this article, according to the plan - very gentle, feminine, cute and pursues more a decorative purpose than a "cooling" one. However, such a craft is an indispensable thing as an element of a fancy dress, a nice gift for mom or grandmother, as well as a great way to spend time and develop creative taste and skills. In addition, making a fan from disposable forks will take you a maximum of an hour, a minimum of 15 minutes, when the technology is already well developed. So, for starters, we make blanks: firstly, we need two identical semicircles, they can be made by cutting a disk in half or cutting it out of cardboard. Instead of a stencil, you can use a large protractor or just trace the outline of the cup. The radius of the semicircle should be about 5-6 cm, but it can vary. Then, using hot glue, it is necessary to glue the forks evenly around the circumference, and so that their ends with cloves are as close as possible to each other. Then, to make our fan of disposable forks look neat, we glue the same semicircle on the other side of the fork handles. Now we have a blank, we just have to decorate it.

For decoration, first take a strip of delicate lace 2-3 cm wide and, passing it between the teeth (you can use one or two), fillthe entire outer part of the circumference, not forgetting to constantly fix it on the forks with glue. Next, we cover the cardboard with ribbons: we glue the strips on it and cut off the excess so that everything is neat, and the paper itself is not visible. This is the advantage of cardboard for making a fan, since you can’t really attach anything to the disk: it is too smooth and slippery. You can also just stick a semicircle of colored paper on the base: it's up to you, we'll still decorate it on top anyway.

Final stage

Now we cut out small decorative elements from another lace: flowers, leaves - whatever. Also, if you know how, you can make roses or just small bows out of ribbons, because a fan of disposable forks is entirely in the power of your creative imagination. All this must be glued around the periphery, on the “head” of the fork, that is, the part between the cloves and the handle. Also, if you wish to fill the remaining space, from the center to the edge of the circle, you can pass colored ribbons or lace between the forks, similarly to the first stage of the decor, thereby hiding the source material from the eyes. It will be very nice if you attach a bow from a wide ribbon to the very center (cardboard), leaving its ends long or making larger roses and bows for it. And if you make such a fan of disposable forks, not one, but two or even three, then you can decorate your room with them.
