Amigurumi owl: from keychain to toy

Do you need a fun toy? And such that no one else had the same? Then you need to do it yourself. Amigurumi "Owl" is a good example of this. It can be small so you can hang it from your bag, or large so your baby can sleep comfortably.

Option 1: keychain

In this case, the Owl amigurumi consists entirely of one ball. It is immediately the head and body of the toy. To make it, you will need to perform 6 single crochets in the amigurumi ring (hereinafter, just columns). The next 4 circles will need to be knitted so that 6 loops are added in each of them. Then comes one circle without addition.

Then the decrease begins. In the first round, 6 loops at once. Then three rows without changes. Two more circles with a uniform decrease in the number of loops by six. There should be 12 left in the last row.

Now you need to fill the Owl amigurumi so that it becomes voluminous. Fold the top circle and knit it with connecting posts. Sew on the edges of this row of tassel ears. From pieces of felt make circles for the eyes andglue them to your head. Sew on black beads in the middle. Embroider a beak with a few stitches.

Option 2: like the first, only more

This amigurumi "Owl" is knitted similarly to the previous one. On the sliding loop you need to make 6 columns. Then increase their number so that it turns out:

• 2nd - 14 stitches;
• in the 3rd - 22;
• in the 4th - 28 loops;
• in the 5th - 32;
• 6-12 rounds are worked flat.

From this moment, the bars begin to gradually decrease:

• in the 13th-16th row, make a uniform decrease in two loops;
• 21 should remain in the 17th;
• Knit the 18th row without decreasing and fasten the thread.

Now you need to tie two circles for the eyes and sew them to the body. Embroider the beak and pupils of an owl. Stuff the body with stuffing and carefully sew up the top. It is recommended to make tassels on the ears.

Now you need to tie two wings. For the first, you will need to tie 6 columns in an amigurumi loop. On it do:

• from the first loop - a column and a half-column;
• from the second - half-column and column;
• from the third - a single crochet and two double crochets.

The second wing is knitted in the same way, only the knitting sequence on the circle comes from the end. It remains only to assemble an owl from a small number of elements.

Option 3: like a balloon

There is nothing complicated about how to weave an amigurumi owl. It is enough to remember the already describedhigher reception and make the torso-head in a shape resembling an egg. Start again in creating a slip stitch, on which 6 stitches are knitted.

In the first row, evenly add 8 columns. Then knit 4 circles, in each it is supposed to increase the number of loops by 6. You should get 38 columns. Next comes the main part of the body, which consists of rows with the same number of loops. It consists of 13 circles.

Then a gradual decrease begins. First a row with 32 columns. In the next round, decrease 6 more loops. At this point, it is necessary to tightly fill the product with filler. Then there is another row in which again reduce 6 loops. The next row becomes smaller by another 5 columns. The last decrease consists of eight columns in one row. The last circle should be formed by 7 columns. Fill the body tightly again and close the hole with seven columns connected to one vertex.

What happened now is just a base that can be turned into any toy. To make an amigurumi owl, the scheme of work goes according to this plan.

1. Ears. On a ring of three loops, knit a circle of 3 columns. In the second round, their number should be already 6.

2. Wings. On the amigurumi ring, tie 6 columns. In the second round, make them 12, and in the third - 18.

3. Eyes. They can be knitted like wings or cut out of felt.

4. Buttons or beads can act as pupils. Or you can just embroider them.

5. Beak. Simple triangle or eye-like.

Option 4: two-piece, head

The head is the first detail that the Owl amigurumi (crochet) will consist of. Its scheme is similar to what was indicated earlier. Therefore, the description will consist of the row number and the number of columns. The first (in the amigurumi ring) - 6 columns. The second - 12. The third and fourth - 18. The fifth of 24. The sixth - 30. The seventh and eighth each have 36 columns. From the ninth to the fourteenth, you need to knit 42 columns. In the fifteenth - 36. The sixteenth - 30. The seventeenth - 24 columns. Eighteenth - 18. Here you need to fasten the thread.

Option 4: two-piece, torso

The torso is the second part that will make an amigurumi owl (crochet). Until the ninth row, work goes the same way as when knitting the head. Tenth-twelfth rows - 36 columns. Thirteenth-fourteenth - 30. Fifteenth-sixteenth - 24. The last row consists of 18 columns, just like the head. Break the thread and fasten off.

In order to make the toy more cute, it is recommended to change the color of the thread in each row. Then the body of the owl will immediately become as if in clothes.

Both parts will need to be filled and sewn. It remains to add details to the toy.

Option 4: two-piece, ear, wing and eye

For the ears in a sliding loop, tie 4 columns. The second row will repeat the same number of them. The third circle is supposed to be knitted from 6 columns.

It is better to make the eyes round. And from two colors at once. Center of whitethreads, and the edge is light gray. In the amigurumi loop, knit 6 columns in white. The second and third rows will be obtained from 12 and 18 columns, respectively. Here you need to change the yarn and knit another circle further. It should come out of 24 loops.

Wing. His scheme repeats the first three rows that are described for the eye. The fourth row is 18. Then the decrease begins. Fifth row - 12. Sixth - 9. Seventh - 6. fasten the thread and stuff the wing. Now you can sew all the details in place.
