Owl, made by hand, is a cute toy that will not only decorate the interior, but also serve as a good symbolic gift to friends and acquaintances. Moreover, things made by oneself are valued, as a rule, more expensive. Next, it will be described how to make an owl pattern and sew such a toy from ordinary fabric or bright felt.
Owl pattern
It's very easy to make an owl toy pattern. In the easiest version (if you make it from felt), you need to draw a rounded barrel body or just a circle, and add ears in the upper part. The basis of the owl pattern is ready, and everything else is decorative elements that will give the toy a personality and make it more interesting. Separately, you need to draw and cut out such details: big eyes, wings, beak. Optionally, you can add paws, an apron, a scarf, a cap, half-closed eyelids, a bow to your owl.
A pattern for a toy from a different fabric needs a different one. You will need two segments of a circle cut out of paper. One of them must bean angle of thirty degrees, the other eighty-five. This will make two triangles.
Cloth toys
A fabric owl toy (pattern - two triangles) is even a little easier than felt. From any fabric, you need to cut out the details according to the pattern and sew them without sewing the bottom. When choosing a fabric, keep in mind that the small triangle will be in front, and the large one will be the back and muzzle of the toy. If you have a matter of dark and light shades of the same color, then it is better to cut a small triangle from a darker fabric.
The resulting cone needs to be stuffed with cotton wool, synthetic winterizer or other stuffing material, but first mark with a pin about a quarter of the cone from above (this part does not need to be stuffed). Now you need to prepare the bottom for the toy. Cut out a circle from thick cardboard and cover it with fabric, and when the toy is tightly stuffed with filler, sew the bottom with blind stitches. Now you can sew the tip of the remaining empty corner with a few stitches to the main part of the owl toy - the body.
Now you can decorate the toy. At a minimum, you need to sew big eyes on the owl - separately squirrels and irises. You can add a bow or an elegant butterfly.
Felt owls
An owl pattern (it is very interesting to make it with your own hands) from felt is a little more difficult, although such a toy is relatively easier to sew. Felt, for example, does not require mandatory processing of sections, as it does not crumble. It is enough just to cut out all the details from the materi althe corresponding color and sew to the base. Small parts can simply be glued on.
