What can compare with things knitted on large knitting needles? Any product created by one's own hands also carries our energy, making things even "cozier" and warmer. In the assortment of knitted products, such as scarves, sweaters, socks or mittens, they use all kinds of knitting, elastic bands. They are transverse and longitudinal, elastic and decorative. They are performed using different knitting techniques.

Consisting exclusively of facial loops and purl - simple elastic bands, are indicated by numbers that determine the number of loops that make up the pattern: for example, an elastic band 2 x 2 or 3 x 1, where the first number marks the front loops, the second - purl. More complex elastic bands - shaped ones, as a rule, have their own name. English knitting is done easily and simply, and your finished product is very effective, thanks to the volume that is created in this way. Perhaps that is why, for many years, English knittingis almost the most beloved and popular pattern in knitting. Its other name is patent gum.

Hats and scarves connected with English rubber band look especially chic. Sweatshirts and jumpers are knitted with this pattern, and sweaters are especially good. It must be borne in mind that the English knit in the finished product is greatly stretched in width, so when washing such products, you should use a gentle mode.

For scarves and hats, we take knitting needles of at least 4, 5 or 5, 0 sizes. The thicker and coarser the yarn, the larger the number of knitting needles we need. Subject to such simple rules, our product will turn out soft, and the pattern will be pronounced and more voluminous.

Cast on an odd number of stitches.

Knit 1st row - front:

- edge loop will be removed untied;

- one loop - front, one - purl (1 x 1).

The row is knitted to the end according to the given pattern. Edge.

2nd row - purl:

- edge loop is removed untied;

- front loop is knitted front, crochet is made;

- the purl loop is removed without knitting.

3rd row - RS:

A clear pattern will appear after a couple of three repetitions.

Description looks hard to understand. Simply, following the sequence, you will find that in the third row the purl loop, which we shot without knitting, on the other side of the canvas is located together with the yarn - front. By this feature, you will understand that you did everything right.

Then everything is easy and simple - we remove the purl loops, making a crochet in front of them, and we knit each front loop with a crochet with one front loop. And so on until the end of knitting.

To see how the knitting pattern looks like at work, just gently pull the fabric you have already knitted in length, and then in width and one more time in length. All the threads will fall as they should, and you can see what the English knitting will be like in the finished product.
