In knitting, there are no complex manipulations or mysterious weaves of threads. Everything is based on the basis of the most common loops - front and back. Having learned to knit simple patterns, you can begin to perform more complex patterns.

Many needlewomen fell in love with knitting, English gum is especially popular today. It is good for its splendor, amazing lightness and excellent extensibility. In addition, the wrong side of the finished product is in no way different from the front side. Most often, English elastic is used to decorate the bottom of clothes, create hats, scarves.

Before you start knitting an English elastic band on a future jumper or sweater, you will need to practice on a small sample. And only after gaining experience and having mastered this "intricacies", you can proceed tobasic work.

So, for training you will need threads and knitting needles. It is important to choose the size of the needles and the thickness of the threads. Too thin knitting needles will not be very convenient to work with thick threads, and vice versa.

An odd number of stitches are cast on the needles. Do not knit too tight, otherwise the pattern may not turn out.

Row number 1. Knit one, yarn over one, remove one loop without knitting. Repeat until the end of the row.

Row No. 2. One yarn over, remove one purl loop without knitting. The nakid and the front loop are knitted together with the front loop behind the front wall. If you knit behind the back wall, then the pattern will not work.

Row 3 and following - knit as row 2.

It is not necessary to knit an elastic band in one color. It will look much more elegant if you use two (or even more) matching threads.

Colorful fabric is knitted simply: colored threads alternate every two rows. Another, no less beautiful, version of the colored English gum is double-sided. To do this, you need to work either on a fishing line or on knitting needles, in which both ends are working.
