Tulip origami can be a flat image that is glued to appliqué work or to create a large wall picture, card for March 8 or a woman's birthday. Origami is also voluminous. They make a tulip out of paper, then blow a stream of air into it through a tube. Thus, the folds of paper straighten out, forming a three-dimensional figure.

Very beautiful tulip crafts are made from modules. You can buy them in stationery stores in ready-made sets or fold each module yourself from special paper. The modular origami tulip looks spectacular, you can simply assemble it by tightly inserting the modules one into the other, or you can use glue for better fastening. By making a few flowers and attaching them to a rod, you can create a beautiful bouquet of tulips that will be an unusual decoration for the room.

Flat Flower

To work on an origami tulip flower, take a square sheet of colored, preferably double-sided paper. The diagram below shows how paper is folded step by step to create the flower itself and the green part of the craft - the leaf and the stem. The first action is performed with red paper.

The square is turned at an angle to the master, and the bottom edge is lifted up. The fold should be diagonal. Next, the side corners need to be lifted up so that three petals are clearly visible on the top of the flower. The last action is performed with the bottom corner. It is folded to the back in a straight line. Paper origami tulip flower ready!

Flower stem

Folding the next part of the craft is already made from green double-sided paper. The leaf is assembled from a square blank. First, the fold is made diagonally from top to bottom.

Then the upper sides are folded to the center line on both sides, then the notch is hidden inward by folding the workpiece in half. This turns out to be the stem of a flower, and in order for it to have a leaf, the lower part rises up to form a flat line at the base.

This origami tulip can be glued onto background paper or blue cardboard. If you make a flower from thick paper and make a small hole from the bottom, then the cardboard stem will be able to hold the flower upright.

Hollow flower to inflate

SuchAn origami tulip is much longer and more difficult to fold. A square is pre-cut from a dense A-4 sheet. So that all its sides are equal, one of the corners is wrapped to the opposite side, forming a right triangle. There is some extra paper on the side. This strip must be cut with scissors.

The next stage of work will be bending the square in half, first vertically, then horizontally. The sheet returns to its original position after each fold.

To properly complete the origami paper tulip blank, you need to make folds also diagonally in one direction and the other. Expanding the square to its original position, we see in front of us a lot of triangular parts. With your fingers, you need to take the square by the edges of the central horizontal line and pull them up and into the middle. If the folds are done correctly, then the paper should fold like an accordion and the top side will drop to the bottom. Everything, the preparation for further work is done!

Flower from modules

Forwork will require more than 100 modules folded in triangles. It is most convenient to buy a set with ready-made elements made of thick special origami paper. Start assembling a flower by connecting two elements together. Apply one triangle to another side by side so that the sharp corners look up. So the third element is put on them, thereby fastening them together. Then the 4th module is attached to the first two, fixing it in the second row as the fifth. The assembly continues until it is impossible to wrap the extreme modules in a circle.

The beginning of the tulip is laid, then by stringing models on the corners sticking up, they raise the flower 4-5 cm in height. Then the production of petals begins. To do this, you need to divide the number of modules into equal parts and reduce their number in each of them until all one element remains at the top of the triangle.

If you want to store origami from modules for a long time, it is best to strengthen the PVA structure during assembly.

When the flower is ready, you can attach it to a thin stick by inserting it into the hole on the base. To prevent the flower from slipping, the rod is fixed with a glue gun or thick PVA. The stick can be wrapped with green corrugated paper of any shade, on the sides you need to place wide leaves cut out of the same material.
