• High card. All cards are of different value and suit. There is one king, queen, or any one card older than the others, which will participate in the draw.
• One pair. Two cards of the same "weight" in draw poker. That is, two tens, for example.
• Two couples. You already have two cards of the same value in your hand.
• Three (or Set). These are 3 identical cards. And the other 2 are not taken into account. This alignment is already “stronger” than the previous 2 pairs.
• Street. Five cards have a strictly sequential value, but different suits. Straight in poker can be different. Can start with 9 and end with a king. And this alignment is not the weakest. A straight in poker comes across quite often, because you can collect several such combinations. So many people are betting a lot when they see 3 or 4 cards in a row on the first deal.
• Flash. A flush is called a suited layout. All 5 cards must be of the same suit, but may have different values.
• Full House. So called a combination of 3 cards of one value, and 2 - another.
• Kare (four). When 4 cards of the same "weight" out of 5 have gathered in the hands. The highest four is 4 aces. Probabilitysuch a "gift" of fate is not so great out of 52 cards - 13 of the same suit, and in the hands - 5. Jokers are not used in the casino.
• Street Flush in poker cannot be beaten. This is a combination of 5 cards in order, and of the same suit. But no ace.
• Royal Straight Flush is the highest hand in poker. This straight of the same suit necessarily starts with 10 and ends with an ace.

The more experience a player has, the better he already knows what combination he can count on after the exchange of cards. After all, those cards that were exchanged are out of the game. You can try to calculate the probabilities, but often in the game you have to rely on chance.

Since the straight is quite common, and there can be many combinations of it, let's dwell on its study in more detail. There are different types of straights in poker, it all depends on the value of the cards and the suit. All of them need to be distinguished by players in order to know exactly which layout is leading in the “battle”. Let's start with a simple, that is, the smallest in value and strength:

1. Iron Street. It starts with an ace, followed by a 2, 3, 4 and a five. The weakest of all straights.
2. Regular straight. Any 5 cards consecutively.
3. Royal Street (or also called Straight Flush). A very rare combination of cards that has already been described.
4. Royal Street Flush. There is no older combination.

According to statistics, the probability of such a combination as a Royal Straight Flush is very small. It can fall into the hands of a person only 1 or 2 times in his entire life.

How to judge the samecombinations?

There are situations in poker when players have the same layout in their hands. But still, in order to somehow resolve controversial situations, there are rules that regulate the outcome of the game. The combination with the higher cards always wins.

For example, if 2 players in poker have the same straight combination, then the players will split the pot in half. But if the players have a full house, the one with the highest three of a kind wins. If both have a four, who has the higher value of these cards. When exactly the same two pairs fall out, the player with the highest 5 card wins. The same rules apply to any type of poker.

Types of poker

The more the popularity of the game grew, the more diverse the rules became, in each country they prefer their own kind of poker. Now the most popular types of games are:

1. Texas Hold'em.
2. Draw poker.
3. Omaha.

American Texas Hold'em is the most common and gambling game of all. It is played in several rounds - 4 rounds of bidding must go through before the cards are revealed. After each raise, that is, after each round, 1 community card is opened. 2 cards are de alt in hand. The rest of the cards are shared.

All the same combinations in poker: a combination of straight, flush, full house - all existing in draw poker, are valid here. Only you need to collect them from 7 cards, not from 5. There are separate rules for bidding.

But you need to start mastering poker with it, then the player immediately understands the psychological mood of opponents.
