What do you need to knit a turban hat?

The standard size of a women's hat is 56-58. First you need to take measurements. Take a measuring tape and measure the circumference of your head from one earlobe to the other over the top of the skull. The result obtained must be divided by 2. After that, prepare the following sewing accessories:

• 100-150g wool yarn;
• threads to match the yarn;
• knitting needles (indicated on the package of threads);
• needle;
• hook;
• scissors;
• measuring tape;

• After you finish knitting the part, you need to connect the 2 ends of the finished scarf in a circle. Then turn the product and connect the inner edges of the scarf by 20 centimeters - you should get a hat with a twisted knot.
• Now bind off by knitting additional sts from the 2nd end. Put the finished hat on and adjust the knot so that it sits exactly in the center of the forehead.

Retro turban or braided turban

You will need 3mm needles and 150g mohair. So, a knitted hat-turban - manufacturing scheme:

• The product must be knitted from the center of the back of the head to the side. Based on your measurements, cast on approximately 52-56 sts, including edge stitches on each side.
• From the first row, start knitting an elastic band in this way: 1 edge loop, 2 facial, 2 purland again the edge loop. At the end of the 1st row, place a marker that will be at the top of the cap.

• Continue in this order until piece measures 27cm. Then place marker at end of RS again and continue until 53-54cm, finishing on RS.
• On the last row (purl), cast off loosely (purl as purl, knit as knit).
• Now cut the thread so that you have 60-65 cm left to assemble the product.

We are almost ready to knit a turban hat. The description of the assembly of parts looks like this:

1. Take the part and fold it in half, sew along the top and center of the back of the hat.

You will need 200 g of wool yarn (thick) and knitting needles No. 8. To create an oriental-style turban, you need to follow the instructions:

1. First, we collect a sampleelastic bands alternately - 1 loop of the front, and 1 loop of the wrong side. Now we make a transverse elastic band: alternately 4 times the wrong side and 4 times the front surface. Gauge should be: 9 sts x 14 rows, approximately 10 x 10 cm.
2. Pigtail edge: knit 1 st each row, slip last purl before work.
3. The edge should be knitted across and it starts from the middle of the front. Cast on 15 sts and knit in rib, starting with the first st in a pigtail and the first knit, and ending with the first knit and the first st in the edge of the pigtail.
4. Then cut yarn at 62-64cm, pull through all sts and pull tight. Also pull off the end of the cast on itself and join the end of the cast on and the end of the cast off.
5. After that, proceed to the top, knit according to this pattern:

Cast on 28 sts with ribbing and work in stockinette stitch starting from pattern until piece measures 48 cm. Then cast off all sts carefully and start gathering.

• Now fold the edges together again at a distance of 8 cm, but leave 2 cross sections at the top and bottom. The strip should be placed on top so that the folded edge is under the back middle of the strip.
• Sew the bottom edge of the top with a double thread so that the edge loop of the strip protrudes. Sew the second edge as well. After that, sew the remaining edges of the strip to the top of the product.
• There will be a small hole in the center of the product, which needs to be decorated with a large brooch or a large stone.
