Half of the wings, body and head of the butterfly are cut out of paper folded in half so that the fold line is simultaneously the middle of the future body of the insect. Further, while maintaining the fold of the sheet, paint of various shades is abundantly applied to the workpiece in random order. After that, without giving gouachedry, you need to unfold the butterfly and bend it again, but already so that the painted and white parts fit snugly against each other. It will be enough to hold the wings in this position for about thirty seconds, after which the workpiece is turned around again and set aside for a while for the paint to dry completely.
In the meantime, you should start painting the bobbin, which will become the body of the butterfly. To do this, the same colors are applied to it with a brush or simply with fingers as on the wings, and also in random order.
When both parts are dry enough, the bobbin is attached to the wings with glue, and six to seven centimeters long antennae are cut from soft wire and also connected to the wings. Paper butterfly in mirror technique is ready.
Accordion Butterfly. It will take quite a bit of time and money to make it. From a newspaper or magazine, you need to cut out two color reproductions in the form of squares 88 and 1010 cm. Fold both blanks with an accordion. It should be noted that the smaller the square is folded, the more beautiful and voluminous the butterfly will turn out. Then the folded rectangles should be cut so that two diagonally elongated rhombuses are obtained. After that, both blanks are fastened with a dense woolen thread. Butterfly made of paper using the "accordion" technique is ready.
Quilling Butterfly
A quilling paper butterfly is beautiful and original. This craft will be an excellent basis for creating both postcards and decorations. For her, you will need two paper strips of 15 cm, six8 cm each and four 4 cm each. These quilling blanks should be of the same tone. You will also need one black strip 30 cm long. In addition, you should stock up on a slot for quilling rings, glue and scissors.
How to make a butterfly out of quilling paper? All stripes of the same color are twisted into loose circles and placed in a slot according to their size. Once they have taken the desired shape, they should be carefully removed from the cells in order to carefully secure their ends with glue. Further, a petal is formed from each circle. Now you can begin to form the "body" of the wings. The elements are glued together in the following order:
- for a larger wing, those that were created from an eight-centimeter tape are attached to the petal from a strip of 15 cm on both sides;
- for the smaller wing, the base is a petal made from an 8 cm strip, and the smallest elements are attached on both sides.
The resulting wings are edged with glue with a black stripe for quilling. The paper butterfly is ready.
