Such a handmade necklace can imitate, for example, natural stones, beads or bones. In addition to the shape, various color schemes with polymer clay are possible. Moreover, you can use both the finished color of the material, and add various shades, halftones, overflows, and so on. To create the desired color, paints specially designed for working with clay are used. However, many needlewomen use conventional oil paints, acrylics and others. Even eye shadows are sometimes included in the creation process. And plastic polymer clay tolerates all this easily, acquiring the desired shade. Below we will consider an example of how one beautiful necklace is created, the schemes for which will be useful in the future when making roses.

What you need to work

The necklace will require the following consumables and tools:

1. Polymer clay in 3 colors (white, brown and beige).
2. Polymer clay liquid, with brush.
3. The stack with the ball at the end.
4. Acrylic rolling pin.
5. Needle.
6. Special blade.
7. Cutter (flower shape).
8. Rondels and beads.
9. Fishing line.
10. Extension and lock.
11. Pins.
12. Wire no more than 1.5 millimeters in diameter.
13. Scissors.
14. Round nose pliers.
15. Quick-drying glue.

Clay is taken in brown and beige. Triangles are formed from both pieces and connected so that a rectangle is formed. At the same time, beige is taken twice as much as brown. Clay is rolled out with an acrylic rolling pin, each time folding the layer in half. Gradually, an increasingly smooth transition from one color to another will be obtained.

Having received the desired shade, the oval layer is cut transversely into many strips of approximately the same width (from 2 to 4 centimeters). After that, the strips are stacked. In this case, the second plate is placed a centimeter forward, and the third - a centimeter back and then in the desired order.

The ends of the resulting pile are cut to give an even shape. It is most convenient to do this with a special blade. Carefully form a cylinder from the stack with your hands. Then it is cut with a blade into small plates. Petals will form from them. Moreover, the thinner the plate, the smaller the diameter of the future petal will receive. Sections are stretched and thinned first with fingers. Then, with a wavy blade, you can get the jagged edges of the future petal. And after that, laying it in the palm of your hand, it is pulled out with the help of a stack, giving the desired indentation.

Firstthe bottom row of five pieces is formed. Beige should be at the tip of the petal, and brown should be at its base. The remaining rows are overlapped.

Our handmade necklace will consist of five roses: three large and two smaller ones. The center of the flowers is smeared with plastic. Then, having formed several white balls from clay with a diameter of 3 to 5 millimeters, pour them directly into the core.

Necklace assembly

On the wire, on one side of which a loop is made with the help of round-nose pliers, beads, rondels, prepared alternately, then roses and again beads with rondels are strung. After that, the ends are fixed. For reliability, you can also impregnate the desired place with glue. A pin with a hat is inserted on one side and the other, the remaining rod is removed with round-nose pliers and the loop is twisted.

In addition, it is advisable to additionally fix the flowers with a satin ribbon. Loops from the threads are connected to the loops of the wire frame. At the end of the work, a lock with an extension is attached.
