What is the best way to use an empty plastic bottle? Some will remember scoops, vases, mobile phone holders. But few people think that you can build houses from plastic bottles.

The author of this incredible project is a German engineer who has developed about fifty projects in several countries using ECO-TEC technology. He built a house out of bottles, using them instead of bricks. It turned out that if you fill the bottle with earth, then in terms of strength it will not yield to a brick. Building a house from bottles with our own hands, we not only save on construction, but also help maintain the environment at the proper level.

Are there any benefits to using bottles? How does their use compare favorably with other building materials? Firstly, bottles have a low cost. Secondly, the bottle house is characterized by increased strength. These improvised "bricks" can withstand very strong impacts and loads.

Plastic bottles can be used multiple times. They are easy to use and significantly reduce the cost of building materials (their cheapness was mentioned above). A self-built bottle house can last about 300 years. What other materialcan boast such durability?

To begin with, we collect our building material in huge quantities. It is not necessary for all bottles to be the same, it will be better to use different sizes and shapes. Stock up on plenty of sand! Now we fill all the bottles, pouring dry compacted sand into them, close the cork. To make the structure more durable, we knead some cement, add clay, sawdust and earth to it, then glue the bottles to each other.

Building must always start with columns, which must be at least three. We dig a hole under the foundation of the column about 100 cm in diameter so that the radius is greater than the diameter of the support (at least 20 cm). Next, we insert fittings under the columns and put the bottles around the fittings with corks inside. We tighten the knot on the neck of the bottles with twine so that adjacent caps touch each other. The gaps that have formed between the bottles must be filled with a mixture of cement and left to settle. To fill the space between the bottles, you can use construction debris or pieces of bricks.

As soon as the column is erected, leave it to full shrinkage and plaster. Then we start building walls. The tactics are the same: the bottles are placed on the solution and the necks are tied with twine. Then the walls are plastered.

The roof of such a house is alive (from turf). It's not just a matter of aesthetics. Such a roof warms betterin winter and cool in summer, and also helps to conserve energy and save money.

The last step in the construction of this unusual house is its interior decoration.

The essence of this concept is that the bottles will not have to be buried or burned, thereby polluting nature. Instead, they will be directed to the construction of environmentally friendly housing. Thus, you, so to speak, combine pleasant and useful. And this is quite interesting and reasonable!
