One of the most common decorations for home gardens and playgrounds is a tire swan. To make such a craft on your own is not difficult. It is characterized by simplicity and reliability. In this case, only improvised means will be needed. An ideal decoration that will stand for more than one year in a summer cottage or on a playground where your kids will play.

Before work

It is better to prepare all the necessary tools and materials in advance. This will minimize the time spent on creating such crafts. First you need to prepare car tires, from which a swan will be made from a tire. There are no special requirements here. The larger its radius, the larger the bird will turn out. And so - what material is at hand, this can be used. We also need white chalk for marking. A sharp knife will allow the workpiece to be cut along the lines. For the external design of the craft, you will need paint - white and red. In some cases, to make the craft more durable, use a wire for additional fixation.

Markup

You need to start marking from the beak. There are two forms of it - in the form of a triangle and in the formtrapezoid. There is no fundamental difference between them. Here you need to proceed from what kind of swan from the tire should turn out. In the first case, an

isosceles triangle is drawn, and in the second case, an isosceles trapezoid. Next comes the head. If desired, this area can be expanded (this is most often done). This will allow it to stand out against the background of the beak and neck. The length of the latter should be approximately equal to three times the length of the head. Then we mark the tail. Its length is approximately equal to head. It is marked in the opposite direction. It turns out that in one direction

the head goes, and the tail goes into the other, between which a thin line of chalk lies. Of course, you can choose other proportions if you wish.

Cut out

Next, a swan is cut out of the tire. The scheme is quite simple. A “cut” is immediately made between the beak and tail. Then cut out the tail. At the final stage, the head and neck are cut out. In the process, you will need a sharp knife. Therefore, you must follow the safety rules to avoid possible injury.

Finishing

At the final stage, the tire swan is properly decorated. To do this, it is completely covered with white paint (except for the eyes), which then must dry. Then the beak turns red. If necessary, this entire exposure is fixed with a wire. It is then recommended to dig a tire-wide recess at the installation site. Its length should ensure the immersion of the lower part of the craft. Next, a bird is installed in this recess, and its lower partcovered with soil. If it is necessary to provide increased strength, then cement mortar is used instead of soil. After it hardens, the craft cannot be moved.
