Flower of thin stripes

This is the easiest way to make DIY burlap flowers. You will need strips of fabric of the same width and length. In our version, the petals are made of 10 cm segments. In order for them to keep their shape well, the blanks must be soaked in a solution of PVA glue and water (proportions 1: 1). Dry the fabric and iron it with a hot iron - you get the effect of starching.

Each piece is folded in half with a loop and sewn in the center. The joint is closed with a beautiful button. You can take a colored one, but wooden elements look harmonious with burlap.

Double pattern flower

For novice craftsmen, we suggest using another simple method for making flowers from burlap with your own hands. You will need a template cut out of thick cardboard so that the details are the same. Burlap can be used in natural color, specially bleached or dyed in any shade. We keep the fabric in a solution of PVA glue and water so that it becomes more dense and easy to cut. After ironing, attach a stencil and cut out the first part along the contours with scissors. You can pre-glue the burlap on a matching felt or cotton base.

Work on the second burlap flower is carried out in the same way. A round button with a metal eyelet on the back is sheathed in burlap and attached alongthe center of the flower. You can use a contrasting color fabric for the core. A craft based on lace will look beautiful.

Kanzashi petals

It's easy to make flowers from burlap with your own hands. Let's look at a craft of five petals with a hemp thread in the middle. The fabric should be soft, so it does not need to be soaked in an adhesive solution. Cut squares of the same size and fold them in half diagonally. Take a needle and thread, collect the triangle with all corners at one point and sew with stitches. Attach all the details of the craft to each other and fasten the end of the thread with a knot on the back of the flower.

Further, do-it-yourself burlap flowers (photo above in the article) are made with hemp thread. This element performs the function of decorative decoration of the core of the flower. For a thick thread, prepare a gypsy needle with a large hole. Sheathe stitches in a circle with several turns. Some craftsmen attach this part with hot glue.

Sunflower

Large do-it-yourself burlap flowers are created on a solid foundation. Our sample uses a circle of wire to sterilize jars in a saucepan. Prepare thin ribbons for tying the petals to the wire. You will need a glue gun and a circle of felt to make the center.

Cut the burlap into equal large squares. Each is folded with opposite corners in the middle and pulled with a ribbon. It turns out two petals at once, which unfoldso that they are side by side, and tied with a tape to a metal base. All other parts are attached in the same way, filling the entire space of the base.

For the middle, take dark-colored burlap. You will need a long strip of fabric, which is folded in a spiral, starting from the corner. Periodically, the turns are fixed with a glue gun so that the twist does not unfold. It is sewn onto a circle of felt, starting from the center. You can use hot glue. The edge is brought to the back and sewn with strong stitches. It remains to set the middle of the flower in its proper place. It is best to sew it with thread, but you can also use a glue gun.

Rose boutonniere

The craft consists of several separate parts. Roses are folded from a thin strip folded in half and sewn with nylon thread on the back side. The craft is placed on a felt base. The first layer is glued hemp threads, laid out in a circle "sun". It is more convenient to use hot glue. The second layer is laid out from multi-colored threads folded in loops. At the end, the base is filled with roses of different sizes.

A safety pin is threaded from the wrong side of the felt, and the bouquet is strengthened on the clothes. This craft can be glued on a gift box or a vase.

Bouquet of daisies

How to make flowers from burlap so that they can be put in a vase? Consider the manufacturing method using the example of beautiful daisies in the sample below. You will need wire to make the stems. So that shefit into the composition, it is wrapped with hemp thread using a glue gun.

Burlap is pre-soaked in an adhesive solution, dried and ironed. Some craftsmen make the contours of the petals from thin wire, wrap it with crepe paper or hemp thread.
