Origami bell - simple and modular

Origami is able to capture any novice master from the first try. This is such a fascinating art: after all, a beautiful figure appears right in front of your eyes from a simple sheet of paper. I want to try to immediately do something more and more.

Origami is divided into varieties:

  1. Simple from square paper.
  2. Modular. Despite the fact that it appeared not so long ago, many have already fallen in love with folding three-dimensional figures from triangular modules.

In the article, we will consider in detail how to make an origami "bell" out of paper in one and the second way. And if you can fold a simple craft for a postcard according to the scheme, then a detailed description of the work is required for a modular three-dimensional design. Read all step-by-step instructions further in the article.

Craft from a sheet of paper

Assembling a simple origami "bell" shows the sequence of actions for folding a sheet of square paper. It is necessary to bend the paper sequentially, according to the serial numbers of the scheme.

Dashed lines indicate folds, and arrows indicate the direction of sheet folding. After performing a series of simple manipulations, we get an origami "bell". Such a craft can be glued onto a sheet of cardboard and make a Christmas or New Year card. A lush bow will complement the work (preferably also origami).

How to make and connect modules

Next, let's look at how to properly perform a modular origami "bell". First, you need to purchase special paper. It is denser than usual, and the craft will turn out to be more voluminous. Secondly, you will need to assemble a lot of small modules to start assembling the bell figure.

Cut A-4 sheet into 16 or 32 rectangular parts. Gather each element in half horizontally and vertically. Then fold the topmost corners inward until you meet the center fold. Hide the protruding pieces of paper inward and fold the workpiece in half so that the pockets are outside. Now you can start assembling the origami "bell".

The photo above shows how the beginning of the craft is going. 4 modules are arranged with corners outward in a circle. Inside each triangular element, one more is inserted. Then all the details are fixed in the third row. All sharp edges are inserted into the pockets in a circle. So increase until the required diameter of the circle is obtained.

Gently pressing down with your hands on all sides, give the craft a cylindrical shape. Fartheralready the bell shape lengthens evenly without middle modules. The parts are connected in the usual way: that is, the modules are strung on the corners of the row with pockets in a circle.

At the end, you can simply turn the extreme rows outward with your hands or make triangular notches by laying out the modules at the corners. To do this, divide the number of elements into groups of 5 pieces and reduce each five first to 3 parts in the second row, in the third there is only 1 module in the center. The extreme corners do not hide in pockets and just stick out to the side.

You can decorate the craft with a chenille stick by inserting it inside. She will depict the tongue of the bell. From above, a lush bright bow made of satin ribbon will look beautiful.

Try, you will definitely succeed!
