How rhinestones appeared
Imitation of precious stones was learned to do a very long time ago, back in the Middle Ages. Jeweler Georg Strass invented the composition of glass, which included lead. And not just entered, but was present in large numbers.

Glue rhinestones come in the form of a hat, hemisphere, octagon. But the basic form is a crystal with many facets. The stones differ in size and color.
Basic sizes of rhinestones
- Sew-on rhinestone. The smallest is 7 mm, the largest is 50 mm. It all depends on the size of the stone. If it has a geometric shape, then the size is represented by a single value (for example: 14 or 16 mm).
- Rhinestones in the form of leaves, boats, drops are measured by two numbers - the length and width of the stone (for example: 10/18,15/25mm etc.).
- Glue rhinestone. This also includes a strass tape. The smallest is 1.3 mm and the largest is 14.5 mm. The most popular sizes of rhinestones: 2.7-2.9 mm, 3.8-4.0 mm, 6.32-6.5 mm.
- Rhinestones in caps also have a size. It is determined in the same way as for glue stones (for example: 3, 4-3, 6 mm).
