To get started, you will need: a sheet of A4 paper (you can take both white and color) and your skillful hands.

1. Fold the rectangular sheet in half. Take an A4 sheet and lay it vertically in front of you. Bring the top and bottom edges together, iron and position the sheet so that the fold is on top.

2. Fold the sheet in half again and straighten it back out. Now connect the right and left edges of the sheet, and not the top and bottom, as inprevious step, iron and unfold back.

3. Bend the top ends of the paper to the center fold. Your sheet should look like the one shown in the image.

4. Bend both bottom edges up as shown in the image below. Your leaf should now look like a "hat" shape.

5. Fold the "hat" along the center line. Gently open it and fold along the diagonals made in step 2 so that your sheet turns into a diamond.

6. Fold the bottom end up. Take the triangular end of the diamond and carefully fold it up so that there is about 0.5-0.6 cm left to the middle of the diamond. Flip over and do the same on the other side.

7. Carefully open the resulting shape so that it turns into a diamond again.

8. Pull on the top edges of the diamond. The paper boat will open itself. That's all! You can enjoy your creation.

Now you know how to make a basic origami paper boat. On its basis, you can make two-pipe ships, sailboats. Some shapes, such as the catamaran, for example, will not be easy to make, even for adults. Also, to give the boat color, you can attach a small flag using a toothpick and a piece of bright paper for this.

1. To prolong the life of your boat, wrap its sides with transparent tape, this will protect it from the harmful effects of water.

2. It is important to pay attention to paper,which you are using. Oddly enough, plain printer paper is best, as it is easiest to make neat and precise folds, which are so important for origami.

3. To make the boat more stable in the water, take two boats and put them inside each other. This will also help keep them from getting soggy.
