Let's make a reservation right away: a hare costume can be made for both children and adults. First, let's talk about the option for babies.

The costume consists of a jumpsuit, ponytail, ears and a carrot. The suit is, of course, white. Although, if you let your imagination take over, you can sew it in pinkish, and in blue tones, and in the color of coffee with milk - which fabric you choose. A hare costume can be sewn even from old bed linen, decorating it with confetti sparkles, embroidering it with a thin sparkling “rain”, decorating it with lush Christmas tree tinsel. And if there is silk or satin, velor or velvet, plush, then the hare “outfit” will turn out to be completely chic!

We make the jumpsuit one-piece. You can sew a hood to it, then the head of the "bunny" will also be white. Get faux fur in light colors - if not pure white, then delicate, pastel. They should sheathe the cuffs of the outfit,sew a strip of fur as a collar. We make fur edging and in the presence of a hood. Here the hare costume is almost ready. The clasp is on the front. In its quality, a long snake or snag-buttons are sewn in. A number of small white buttons are also suitable. Make sure your child can put it on easily and feel comfortable in the outfit.

Now the ears. They are sewn separately, double-sided. Pink on the inside and white on the outside. The outer can be tailored from fur. Your bunny costume can be with upright or hanging ears. In both cases, they need to be stuffed a little with padding polyester or cotton to keep their shape. When standing, a special pad is sewn inside. Then they are attached to the hood. As a decorative element (a tribute to the New Year), we sew the ears with a figured “rain”. In the case when the outfit is without a hood, they can be sewn to a hoop hairpin, which is pre-wrapped with white cloth.

Shoes, of course, are desirable to match all the clothes. Sneakers, sneakers, shoes, boots are suitable … If the latter are fur trimmed, great. If not, no problem. Just make the legs of the overalls long enough so that the shoes are almost hidden. And the peeking ends can simply be sealed with white paper using adhesive tape.

Ponytail. Make it easy. A small oval bag is sewn from the fur, stuffed with cotton and sewn where it should be. Let him dangle funny when walking - this makes the suit look more touching.

So ourThe carnival hare costume is almost ready. It's about the carrot and the "hare" muzzle. You can use a real carrot, just choose a larger one, and glue a green “rain” as tops. Or cut it out of wood, glue it out of paper and paint it. "Rain" - tops remain.

"Muzzle" - we draw it right on the child's face. Suitable black cosmetic eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, blush and shadow. Practice and you will have a very charming bunny!

Some clarifications

This costume is universal - it is equally suitable for both boys and girls. Variants of it - if there is a fluffy little white hat or a white cap, a baseball cap, then the ears are attached to it. For a girl, a white skirt is suitable instead of a jumpsuit.

A hare costume for adults is very similar to a child's. It is possible to change some details - a short skirt with a fur trim, high boots, also trimmed with fur, this is a female version. White tuxedo and trousers, bunny mask - male.
