However, not everyone knows that you can create beautiful things from ribbon yarn. It has a rather original look and is shaped, so it is difficult to call it a thread.

The presented yarn may have a different color or combine several shades. It has an unusual appearance - it is a flat braid, which can have a bright sheen or be matte. The width of the ribbon yarn can be different, it ranges from 0.3-1 cm. Naturally, the starting material used to make it is also different. For example, they produce such a thread from viscose, cotton, polyester.

The presented material can be used to finish ready-made clothes or create entire collections of things. A feature of ribbon yarn is that it can only be used once, because after the unraveling of the thing, the appearance and functionality of the thread is irretrievably lost. However, its advantage is functionality, because it is also used for embroidery.

Products made from this yarn can be dense or light and airy. It all depends on the chosen knitting pattern. In order for the product to be magnificent, it is necessary to use a large number of broaches during operation. If you do not know how to knit with ribbon yarn, do not be discouraged. In principle, there is nothing complicated here. You just need to dial the required number of loops on the knitting needles, while you need to hook the upper, thinnest thread with a knitting needle. It should be noted that the use of patterns is limited, as you will not achieve a special pattern. It is better to use a simple purl or front surface, while trying to knit so that the product turns out to be voluminous.

With the help of ribbon yarn, you can decorate the sleeves or the bottom of the products, decorate the placket of the sweater, make a scarf. In addition, you can knit yourself a very original jabot. Often gloves and dresses are made in this way. A small flounce can even be attached to a hat. Thanks to the versatility of this yarn, you can use not only knitting needles, but also a hook to work.

Ribbon scarves knit very easily and quickly. For work, you will need no more than 150 grams of yarn. Moreover, such a product will turn out to be very original and individual, especially if you use a multi-colored thread. The scarf should be taken with sufficiently large knitting needles, for example, numbers 4-8. Before starting work, the yarn must be prepared, that is, you should carefully unwind the thread to a certain length and straighten it. Next, we collect a small number of loops (8 pieces) and start knitting slowly. We turn the knitting needle so that the tape is behind it, and we begin to dial the second row.
