To do this, you should sculpt what arouses interest in the child. As a rule, children love animals and birds, so a plasticine bird is the most suitable option for beginner classes.

It is advisable to take care in advance that the house has everything you need for modeling, namely:

1. Plasticine. For babies, it is better to choose a set with bright colors and soft material.
2. Stacks. The simplest ones are made of plastic. It is possible to purchase wooden ones, although this is not necessary at the initial level.
3. Plastic table mat. It makes it easier to clean up after class.
4. Apron for baby.

When everything is ready, you can sculpt crafts from plasticine. Birds are cartoonish or close in appearance to real ones. The former are easier to make, so it's best to start with them.

How to make a simple craft

1. Plasticine can be slightly wrinkled to make it softer. After that, roll up an oval - this will be the body of the bird.
2. You can decorate it by rolling a smaller oval and flattening it into a cake. Attach it to the torso - this will be the breast.
3. Make two "drops" and flatten them - these are wings. Feathers can be drawn in a stack or laid out in stripes of a contrasting color.
4. For the eyes, roll up two small balls of white plasticine, stick dots on them - pupils.
5. The beak can be made in the form of a small cone or oval.
6. The easiest version of paws is two round cakes, on which fingers are marked with a stack.

Complicated version

Since you can mold a bird out of plasticine in different ways, after mastering a simple option, it is advisable to try a more complex one. The finished toy will not be just a bird, it should recognize a certain species.

One of the most recognizable birds is the woodpecker. To make it, you need only 3 colors. The sequence of actions when sculpting a woodpecker:

1. Take black plasticine, make two parts: a small oval (this is the future head) and a larger teardrop shape that will become the body.
2. Make two flat "drops"black, decorate them with white transverse stripes. A plasticine bird should have wings that are as close as possible in color to the wings of a real woodpecker.
3. Attach parts to the body.
4. Make a white stripe and stick it on the chest. Make two marks on the head, round black pupils on top.
5. Attach a thin red cone to the head, this will be the beak.
6. On the top of the head should make a red "cap" - a small oval cake or a longitudinal crest.
7. For the tail, blind a lot of flat "drops" of white and black. Alternating them, form a tail.
8. The paws are made of red plasticine. You can insert a wire inside so that the plasticine bird can stay on the branch.
