How to knit a women's vest with knitting needles in three days

As you probably already noticed, knitted vests are back in fashion in all their diversity. This gives us the opportunity to choose the style of a knitted vest to our liking and knit it in just three days. I propose to consider a classic model, on the basis of which you can create your own version of the product, making minor amendments.

Knitting: women's vest

What do we need to work?

- Circular needles on fishing line No. 3.

- Hosiery 3.

- Half-woolen yarn "Cashmere gold", 320 m in 100 g, 3 skeins.

- Tonal decorative buttons.

We will knit a women's vest without side seams, with a single fabric. In general, if the pattern allows, knitting without seams greatly simplifies the process of work and further care of knitwear.

For size 48 - 50, we collect 256 loops on the knitting needles, of which 2 are hem. We knit an elastic band 2x2 with a height of 30 - 35 cm, then we begin to make out the armhole. In the front row, remove the edge, knit according to the figure 60 p., close 6p., we knit 122 p. according to the pattern, close 6 p. and knit according to the pattern to the end of the row.

From now on, the front and back are done separately, the working thread is from the side of the left front. In each next front row from the side of the armhole, we close in turn 2, 2, 1, 1, and 1 loop, until there are 54 loops on the needles. Further, if our vest is female with a V-neck, we proceed to the design of the neck. To do this, at the end of each front row, we knit together the second and third from the end of the loop so that the second lies on top, forming a pigtail along the neckline. We close the loops until there are 24 loops on the knitting needles. We knit 2 more rows according to the pattern and remove the loops on the stocking auxiliary knitting needle. The left shelf is ready.

In the same way we knit the right shelf, we remove the loops on the second auxiliary knitting needle.

Women's vest: knit back

We tie a working thread and knit 122 p. of the front row, then at the beginning of each row we close in turn 2, 2, 1, 1, and 1 loop to decorate the armhole, 108 loops remain on the needles. We knit 53 rows according to the drawing, then we knit 29 loops in the front, close 50 p., Finish the row. In each next front row from the side of the neck, we close 2, 2, 1 loops in turn, there will be 24 loops on the knitting needle. We knit 2 rows according to the pattern and remove the loops on the stocking auxiliary knitting needle. Similarly, we knit the right shoulder.

To connect the shoulder seams, we crochet the corresponding loops of the front and back together,fasten the seam.

In order for our women's vest to be fastened with buttons, it is necessary to tie a bar with loops on the right shelf. From the hem loops, we collect the appropriate number of loops in a circle and knit a 4 cm wide bar with an elastic band. Do not forget that for buttons you need to make loops, knitting 2 loops together with the subsequent yarn over, it is advisable to do this on the wrong loops of the pattern. The distance between the loops is usually 10-12 cm, marking should be done from the most convex point of the chest, evenly counting the number of loops up and down. We also decorate the armholes of the vest with a strap of the appropriate width.

The finished product is slightly steamed through the fabric, sew on the buttons. We knitted a women's vest with knitting needles, but by the same principle, you can knit vests and sleeveless jackets with a simple or Tunisian crochet.
