"Sheep": application from different materials

The application is made from available materials. The process is simple and interesting, so you can keep your child busy with calm and rewarding creative work for a long time.

Sheep made of cotton pads

This is the easiest option, and you can use only one round blank only as the animal's body, and draw or make the rest of the details out of paper. Another craft "Sheep" (application) can also be easily done, but using several circles to compose the body. In the first case, you can make a whole herd of sheep from one pack of cotton pads, and in the second case, a few, but they will be voluminous, "well-fed".

Work goes like this:

1. Prepare a cardboard base or a printed image of a hand-drawn picture - a landscape where your sheep will walk.
2. Mark with a pencil the places where you want to glue the blanks.
3. Apply glue tosurface and apply a cotton pad. If the sheep will consist of one element, it can be preliminarily cut along the contour in the form of a wavy line. If from several, just stick the circles inside the contour of the body with an overlap.
4. The rest of the details are easy to cut out of colored paper, but the head of the animal can also be made from a cotton pad by cutting out the blank of the desired size.

Felt appliqué

To make a beautiful "Sheep" applique, it is better to cut out the detail templates from cardboard first, and use these blanks as stencils. The initial scheme is easy to draw yourself or take a sample.

The execution sequence is:

1. Cut out the blanks of all parts from paper.
2. Spread on felt of the appropriate shade.
3. Trace around.
4. Cut out the elements.
5. Take the base blank and put the rest of the details on it in layers. Sew them on. Small items are easy to stick on.

This way is traditional and simple. To complete such a craft, you will need colored paper or finished printed parts. In order for the child to get a neat application "Sheep", a template, of course, will be required.

So the sequence is:

3. Help your child arrange the blanks on colored sheets of the appropriate shade.
4. Circle the blanks and cut out.
5. Glue the details on the base sequentially - from the background and its components, moving to the elements closest to the viewer. Eyes, nose and other small parts are usually glued last.

Applique "Sheep" from napkins

This way of doing crafts is simple, but it will require perseverance, patience and a lot of time to prepare the material. But you will get a very realistic sheep.

Applique from napkins is done like this:

1. Tear napkins into random parts of approximately equal size. Can be cut into squares with scissors.
2. Twist balls or lumps from all elements. In this case, there is nothing wrong if the child’s workpieces do not turn out even and neat. Even if the details unwind a little, it doesn’t matter, because the sheep will turn out to be more fluffy.
3. Prepare the base and draw or print the outline of the character on it.



It's good to use a color picture as a background, then the application laid out from napkins will look even more original.

4. When the base with the contour is ready, start applying glue to the surface and press the crumpled lumps of napkins to it.

6. Glue on paper-cut, painted, or store-bought plastic eyes.
7. Make ears, tail.
8. Hooves are also easy to cut out of colored paper, but can also be made from crumpled wads of napkins, only they will have to be dyed brown or another suitable dark shade.
