Mosaic fromglasses are much stronger than glass itself, although they are chemically the same. It depends on two reasons. Firstly, pouring the glass mass into molds, it is fired at a high temperature - up to 800 degrees Celsius. Secondly, due to the small size of the mosaic module, it is very difficult to break it.

Glass mosaic is very resistant to microorganisms and synthetic detergents. Thanks to the solid structure, it is remarkably cleared of all pollutants.

Glass mosaic is great for wall cladding in bathrooms and kitchens, in swimming pools and saunas, that is, where there is frequent contact with water. It is also used to decorate stoves and fireplaces, furniture and building facades.

Decorating your home with glass mosaics is easy. Even a non-specialist can easily cope with this task. First of all, you need to purchase glass for the mosaic. Glass is sold in stores in the size of 1 × 1, 2 × 2, 5 × 5 centimeters and a thickness of 3 to 12 millimeters in a square or diamond shape. Its color scheme is very diverse, so you can choose any to your taste. Such glass, or rather chips, is transparent, colored and colorless, matte and glossy, as well as with a special coating that changes color when you change the viewing angle of the mosaic (“chameleon”). Before you start laying out the mosaic, you need to come up with a pattern. It can be painted directly on the wall or other object that is planned to be decorated. The chips are attached with a special glue, to which the primer composition is added. Layingmosaics resembles the process of installing conventional ceramic tiles. 24 hours after laying, when the glue dries, the joints are grouted. The grout solution is applied with a rubber spatula. Excess mortar and irregularities are removed with the same spatula. After complete drying with a sponge, wipe off the remains of the grout and wash the mosaic. Now it will take on a finished look.

When creating a mosaic decoration, show all your imagination and taste, and then a glass mosaic made with your own hands will bring a lot of joy and good mood.
