Handmade interior decorations not only enliven the environment, but also add personality to the design. The beaded yin-yang tree is a bright element that will fit into any interior. You can buy such a product in a handicraft store or try to make it yourself. This business will require patience and skill, but the result is worth it. A few evenings and the exclusive product is ready.

Symbolism

In Chinese philosophy, Yin and Yang are two opposites that are parts of one whole. Balance and harmony in the world depend on the unity of these two halves. So the yin-yang tree from beads will bring peace and joy to the house. But even without a deep meaning, this product will delight the eye and charge with positive.

Materials for work

To make a yin-yang tree from beads with your own hands, you need to prepare the materials and tools necessary for work:

  • You will need beads of two colors - black and white. Each color needs 200 g, although the amount depends on the desired splendor of the crown of the future tree.
  • Wirethin copper to create twigs.
  • Wire 3.5 mm thick for the barrel - about 1 meter. Copper wire is best suited for such a product - it holds its shape well and is strong enough to withstand the weight of a beaded crown.
  • White and black threads for wrapping branches and trunk. The best option is silk. They have a beautiful sheen, which will give the product an extra charm and mystery.

Also needed for registration:

  • tree pot;
  • gypsum;
  • water;
  • mixing container;
  • scissors;
  • cutters;
  • paint;
  • brushes.

Leaves and twigs

You need to start working with the formation of branches. To do this, string 8 black beads onto a piece of wire 0.5 m long. Step back from the edge of the wire at least 5 cm, make a loop by twisting the wire at the base of the loop a couple of times. This is how the leaf comes out. After a centimeter, make another loop, and so on to the end of the wire. At the end, there should also be an end of at least 5 cm. The number of leaves should be odd. The preparation is ready. The photo shows a diagram of a beaded yin-yang tree.

Now we need to form a branch. To do this, you need to find the central loop and fold the workpiece in half. Twisting in one direction, a branch should be formed so that the loops are opposite each other. Straighten the "leaves" and scroll the remaining free ends. The branch is ready. They will need 70-100 pieces of each color.

Branches and crown

Take one black branch, attach another to it where the leaves end, and twist the wire. Attach a third branch and repeat twisting. So it turns out a small branch. Thus, you need to connect the remaining branches in three pieces. Small branches in the same way are connected by three into a large branch. The crown of the tree is formed from large ones. At the end, you should get two crowns: black and white.

Branches need to be wrapped with threads to match the beads. To keep the threads in place, they can be fixed with glue.

Barrel

Take a piece of thick wire about 50 cm and attach a prepared black crown to it. Wrap with a thin wire and fix with black threads. Do the same with the white half. To make the barrel thicker, you can wrap it with electrical tape, floral paper, strips of bandage, or cover with plaster.

It remains to form a yin-yang tree from beads, slightly intertwining the trunks. This technique adds romanticism to the product.

"Planting" a tree

The yin-yang beaded tree is ready, it remains to “plant” it in a pot. The container for such decoration is chosen inconspicuous, preferably black or white.

Dilute the gypsum according to the instructions to the density of sour cream. To make the tree stable, bend the ends of the thick wire in the “roots” area with pliers in the form of a loop. Set the tree in a pot and fill with gypsum mortar. Until the mixture seizes, you need to hold the workpiece so that it does not move. Thenleave until completely solidified for about a day.

At this stage, you can coat the tree trunk to make an imitation of the bark. A thin layer of gypsum mortar is applied to the trunk and grooves are made on the uncured gypsum with a toothpick or other sharp thin object.

You can do without a pot. In this case, you will need a flat container, which is covered with cellophane. The tree is installed in this container and filled with plaster, and after drying it is taken out of the mold. The base is painted and decorated as desired.

Decoration

After the plaster has completely dried, you need to apply the final touches. If the trunk was covered with plaster, it must be painted with acrylic paints or gouache in the appropriate color. The paint is applied in several layers. It is necessary that each layer dries completely. Only in this case will staining flaws be visible.

The base can also be decorated as you wish. For example, lay out a yin-yang sign from beads, gluing beads to a plaster base. You can paint with paints or decorate in any other way. The finished product is varnished (optional).

Variations on a theme

The described master class of the beaded yin-yang tree is basic. But making beaded trees is a creative process and digressions and flights of fancy are welcome.

So, it is not necessary that the color palette be only black and white. It can also be made from other contrasting colors that will look no less impressive: from blue and red, yellow andgreen and from others.

You can also experiment with trunks. A variant is described here in which two trunks are intertwined. But you can have branchings of different colors from one base.

The shape of the tree is also not important. It is important that there is a symmetrical composition. Can be shaped like a heart or a horseshoe. In any case, it will look bright and spectacular.

Creating yin-yang beaded trees and other options is a fun process. The whole family can be involved in the creation of such a masterpiece. Children are happy to string beads on a wire, and men can be puzzled by curly bending a thick wire. Each member of the family will then proudly say that he had a hand in this masterpiece.
