Step 1. Let's fashion blanks for future parts of the parrot's body:

1. The body is a cylinder of red plasticine, rounded at the top.
2. A flat "apron" that will be the bird's tummy.
3. Two green, flattened, but thicker than the tummy, pear-shaped blanks for wings.
4. Brown flagella: 2 thicker and longer for legs, and 8 thinner and shorter for fingers (4 each).
5. Black pyramid (future beak).
6. A flat but thick enough orange horseshoe for a tuft.
7. Two white lozenges for the eyes and two smaller black lozenges for the pupils.
