Knitting an openwork blouse with knitting needles allows the craftswoman to show all her abilities and good taste, as it opens up opportunities for using a variety of materials, patterns and ornaments.

In addition, a huge variety of summer patterns includes products of various levels of complexity, so both experienced knitters and beginners can create blouses on their own.

Secrets of creating openwork fabrics

Traditionally, cotton or linen yarn is chosen for summer products. This is due to the fact that natural materials perfectly pass air, absorb moisture and do not cause allergic reactions. In addition, an openwork blouse, knitted for a girl or for an adult woman, knitted from cotton, keeps its shape much better and wears longer.

Man-made fibers such as acrylic and polyamide can cause product deformation, while microfiber andLurex often give the canvas rigidity. This is especially important when it comes to children's products.

Why knit swatch

Sometimes cotton material may not be dyed well. To determine in advance whether the yarn is shedding, you need to wet the thread and wipe it with a light-colored cloth. If, however, it turns out that the color is unstable, no need to be upset. In this case, you will have to knit a product only from this yarn, refusing to combine it with other shades. You can also try using chemical methods to fix the color (special laundry detergents).

Openwork fabric can be very capricious, which often leads to errors in calculations that relate to the size of products. Loose patterns can become much wider when steamed with an iron, or, conversely, shrink under the influence of high temperature.

You need to knit a sample, wash and iron it to get the knitted blouse conceived by the craftswoman. The diagrams and descriptions that come with the pattern should be followed carefully. It is also necessary to pay attention to the density of knitting. One of the most common mistakes is that the sample is knitted tighter or looser than the rest of the product, which leads to deviations in size (an openwork summer blouse knitted with knitting needles turns out to be either larger or smaller than planned).

You can't be lazy to get reliable numbers. You will have to make a fragment of the canvas with a size of at least 10 x 10 cm. After washing and steaming, it is measured and see how muchstitches and rows fit in 10 cm (width and height).

The use of this system is useful if you need an openwork blouse, knitted for a teenage girl or an adult woman.

The model consists of two main elements:

1. Tight bodice.
2. Openwork bottom.

For the manufacture of the bodice, you will need circular knitting needles, as the raglan technique is used here. In general, the rest of the fabric can also be knitted in the round, or you can make two parts and then sew them.

How to tie a bodice

To create a classic raglan, cast on circular needles the number of loops corresponding to the neck circumference. You should carefully consider the calculations so as not to get too deep a neckline.

The stiffer the yarn, the weaker the openwork blouse should be knitted. Patterns and descriptions of the pattern are not needed, as the bodice is knitted in garter stitch. After a set of loops, the following sequence is performed:

1. Divide their number into four parts and mark 4 loops that serve as borders.
2. The front row is knitted only with front loops. Yarn over before and after the marked loop.
3. In the purl row, which also includes only front loops, knit all yarn overs.
4. Repeat the second and third points until the canvas reaches 8-10 cm.

When knitting the last row, you should dial the loops for knitting the fabric under the arms. This is done in the same way as the very first row is dialed. When the bodice is the right size, proceed to the main details.

After the bodice is finished, you need to calculate the loops to work with the pattern. It is important to consider rapports here. If the total number of stitches is a multiple of 12, then all rapports fit.

In the event that there are not enough loops, you need to knit another row in garter stitch and evenly add the missing amount.

Next, an openwork border is made, which serves as a transition from one scheme to another. The pattern indicated in the figure under the marking A.2 should be used.

Then proceed to scheme A.3. In the process of further knitting, the fabric will expand. This effect can be achieved by adding two loops in each rapport. In the figure, this is indicated by introducing an additional icon - a black oval.

On closer examination, you can see that initially the rapport was eight loops, and after additions - ten. In order not to spoil the ornament with extra holes, new elements were added not with the help of crochets, but by a different method. They are knitted from broaches between two adjacent loops.

When the openwork part is completed, you can make a plank. In the presence of a neat strapping, any openwork blouse with knitting needles looks good. Schemes and descriptions are not needed here, since the strap is knitted in the same way as the bodice fabric: with a garter pattern (one front).

When closing the loops, you need to make sure that the row is not tightened, otherwise the product will be difficult to put on and wear.

There is no tying around the neck or armholes in the photo, but experience tells me that such a fabric will stretch rather quickly. To avoid this, it is recommended to perform several rows of single crochets. If the craftswoman wants to decorate these sections of the blouse, then after the first row of single crochets she can perform any tying she likes.
