The paper crane is the unspoken symbol of all origami art. It is used as a logo for origami paper companies, and most people, when they hear the word “origami”, imagine this particular figure. The crane in Japanese mythology is a symbol of longevity and he alth. The sad story of a Japanese girl who received a lethal dose of radiation during the explosion in Hiroshima is also connected with the origami crane. It is because of this story that the paper bird is also considered a symbol of peace and the rejection of war.

In the article we will analyze in detail the scheme of the crane (origami) and tell you how to assemble such a figure.

The manufacturing instructions consist of the following steps:

Step 1. Cut out a square from paper. When making a figurine for the first time, it is better not to use too small format.

Step 2. Fold the square in half horizontally, unfold, fold vertically and unfold again.

Step 3. Fold the square in half diagonally so that the fold line runs from the bottom right to the top left corner. Unfold and make another line - from the lower left to the upper right corner.

Step 4. Now you should have a square in front of you, folded in half, that is, forming an equilateral triangle. Take two corners and bend them inward to make a square.

Step 5. Fold the corners of the square towards the center. Important! Fold only one layer of paper.

Step 6. Turn the shape over and repeat step 5.

Step 7. Fold the top of the resulting rhombus towards you, then return to its previous position.

Step 8. Pull the bottom of the diamond up, grabbing only one layer of paper.

Step 9. Repeat step 8 on the reverse side.

Step 10. Fold the right and left corners of the diamond towards the center using only the top layer of paper.

Step 11. Turn the shape over and repeat step 10.

Step 12. Bend the resulting tail and neck up. Draw a head.

Step 13. Pull the wings down to spread them apart.

Done! Now you know the origami crane pattern. It is not at all difficult to make it out of paper.
