Applications occupy a special place in children's creativity. They can be made of any materials, they can be voluminous and flat. The Owl application will combine all these characteristics.

Materials for work

To complete the application you will need:

1. Rigid blue cardboard. To make the picture more rigid, you can take thick cardboard from the box and paint it with blue gouache.
2. Colored paper. You will need grey, brown, green, white, black and yellow colors.
3. Feathers. Down will do, but hard large feathers will also work.
4. PVA glue.
5. Glue "Moment" transparent.
6. Scissors with rounded ends. Such a child will not get hurt.
7. Simple pencil.
8. Ruler.
9. Compass.
10. Wadding.
11. Black and dark green marker pens.

Getting Started

Before starting work, an adult needs to prepare all the materials.

1. It is necessary to cut out templates from thick cardboard: a large oval (body of an owl), a medium-sized circle (head), a circle smaller than average (whites of the eyes), a small circle (pupils), a high triangle with one sharp corner(beak), a small square with rounded corners (owl toes), a branch of any shape with a width slightly less than the rectangles for fingers, and leaves of any shape and size.
2. Small feathers do not need to be specially prepared. Large feathers need to be cleaned from cuttings and cut into smaller pieces.
3. Carton can be prepared by yourself or with your child.

When everything is prepared, the application "Owl" from paper can be performed.

Step-by-step instructions for preparing parts

1. From gray paper you need to cut out the body of an owl and the head. To do this, a template is outlined on paper, then both circles are cut out along the resulting contour.
2. The whites of the eyes are similarly cut out of white paper. There should be two white circles.
3. From black - pupils. You should end up with two small black circles.
4. Two triangles are cut out of yellow paper according to the pattern. Then they are folded in half, and a small incision is made at the base. On the colored side, the base is bent to the length of the cut.
5. Also cut out six small squares from yellow paper.
6. A branch is cut out of brown. Application "Owl" - spring crafts, you need to make leaves.
7. Cut them out of green paper. The number of leaves can be any.

Applique assembly

The application "Owl" is assembled according to the following algorithm:

1. A quarter of the length of the entire cardboard, counting from the bottom, a branch is glued with PVA glue.
2. On the top of the branch, edge to edge, the body of an owl is glued with the same glue.
3. Slightly fromthe head is glued with a slouch.
4. Under the body of the owl, right on the branch, the toes are glued. Three fingers - close to each other, the other three - after a certain distance, also back to back.
5. The whites of the owl's eyes are glued to the middle of the head.
6. The beak of an owl is glued by a special method. A thin layer of glue is applied to the bent edges. Then the triangle folds slightly along the fold, and in this position the bent base is glued with the fold up. Then the same is done with the second triangle, only it is glued close to the top one and folded down. You should get a small pyramid that will stand out from the general flat picture.
7. Pupils are glued to the middle of the proteins.
8. Cotton wool in the form of clouds is attached to the blue background around the owl with Moment glue.
9. Feathers are randomly glued on the body and head. You need to use the same glue. Feathers should be attached in such a way that they remain fluffy and soft.
10. With a black felt-tip pen, you need to separate the fingers of an owl, and draw veins on the leaves with dark green.

Craft is ready! It remains to frame it or hang it on the wall above the baby's bed.
