Most often, it is woven from paracord - a lightweight nylon cable equipped with a core. Paracord is extremely durable, withstanding a load of more than two hundred kilograms, and was originally intended for the manufacture of parachute lines. The value of the bracelet lies in the fact that it can be disbanded in a matter of minutes into a strong cable up to five meters long. This is truly a necessary thing in a suitablesituations! In addition, many craftsmen add variety to ordinary models by weaving cable saws, fishing tackle and other items useful in the wild forest into a strong bracelet. Factory models are often equipped with special fasteners, in which a whistle, knives, even a flint and steel, personalized tokens are mounted.

So, survival bracelet: how to weave? First you need to decide on the materials for the product. In principle, it is not at all necessary to purchase paracord, although this, of course, is an ideal option. You can take a fairly strong and reliable cord with a diameter of four millimeters. Too thick a cord is more convenient when knitting, but it will interfere and rub on the hand. Too thin will cause a lot of trouble when weaving. They are sold in ordinary hardware or hardware stores and are not uncommon. In addition to the cord, you need to choose a mount, for example, rigging brackets or plastic fastexes. However, the knot with a loop is still the most reliable option. So, to make a paracord survival bracelet 20 cm long, you will need scissors, a lighter or ordinary matches, five meters of cord.

How to weave a bracelet: lock

To begin with, the cord is folded in half and taken by the middle. A small loop is made from the middle, into which the free end of the cord is partially inserted. Then you need to make an upward movement, pulling the loop a little. Now it is shaped, everything is tightly tightened. This is the lock of the bracelet.

After the lock, you need to make the basis for the product: two long loops that make up the survival bracelet. To do this, first one free end of the cord is pushed under the lock, then the second is passed through the main loop and hangs down into the lower part of the lock loop. So, as a result, a lock is obtained, and under it there are two shoulders of the same length, each consisting of three pieces of cord. Now you should adjust the length of the loops to the size of your wrist. A finger should be freely inserted between the hand and the bracelet, while the product will not fall off the hand.

Further, the survival bracelet is woven as follows: the base is turned upside down and braiding begins on either side. All loops must be tightened tightly enough, but without excessive zeal, otherwise the product will then be impossible to unravel. So, the free right part of the cord is held above the base, then it is pushed under it into the loop formed, pulled towards the lock. Now the same is repeated with the left free part. Next step: the right end is passed under the base, then from above, then into the loop. The same must be done with the left end. The process is repeated until only a loop remains, into which the lock can be inserted. The remaining ends must be melted on fire. Everything, the survival bracelet is ready. You can safely go hiking and not worry about your equipment.
