One of the most favorite toys of children is Splyushka Tilda. This doll is called differently, the second name is Sleepy Angel. What is Splushka? This is an awkward yawning little man hugging a pillow. It is almost impossible not to yawn looking at such a toy. Yes, and it is designed to help you fall asleep. The angel is dressed in pajamas, holding a pillow in his hands - he will fall asleep. It is customary to hang such a toy over the head of a crib or put it next to the child - Splyushka-tilde is considered an excellent keeper of babies' sleep.

When you see such a toy, there is a desire to buy it. But most of these dolls are made to order, and you can try to make Splyushka yourself.

We offer a small master class. Tilda Splyushka is sewn quite easily and quickly. Usually the Angel is made about 35 cm high, but if desired, the height of the doll can be changed by increasing (or decreasing) the details of the pattern.

Pattern

On the pattern, all the details, of course, are shown in a single copy. But after cutting out the paper elements, you need to cut tofabrics. To get the correct tilde Splyushka, the material pattern must contain the following details:

• Doll body - 2 pieces
• Hand - 4 pieces
• Leg - 4 pieces
• Wings - 2 pieces
• Collar - 2 pieces
• Sleeve - 2 pieces
• Pajamas - 2 pieces

Wings are made for Sleepy Angel. If you want to make just Splyushka, it is not necessary to sew wings. The pillow is sewn from one long rectangle. The cap on the head is cut out with a cone, choosing according to the size of the head of the resulting doll.

Tilda Splyushka, the pattern of which is located above, is not so difficult to sew. The main thing is to follow the manufacturing sequence. Typically, dolls of this kind are sewn by hand, so the presence of a machine is not required.

Choose fabric

Angel Splyushka-Tilda is sewn from fabrics of delicate skin tones, such as peach, beige, pink, etc. For sewing the body of the doll, you need a piece of material about 35 x 40 cm. For pajamas, a cap and a pillow, you will need soft fabric 2 colors. The material can be chosen with any pattern (flowers, polka dots, stains). The main thing is that the size of the pattern should correspond to the growth of the doll, that is, it is worth taking only fabric with a small pattern. Tilda dolls are sewn only from natural cotton materials, so the choice should be stopped on coarse calico, linen, chintz. To make the body, you need a dense fabric, for clothes and pillows - thin and soft.

Sewing the body

The pattern needs to be transferred to the fabric with a pencil or fabric marker. Cut out all the details, sew by hand or on a typewriter. Turn out, iron. It is convenient to tamp the filler with a stick. Tilda for beginners should not present great difficulties, it can be filled with any material: sintepuh, holofiber, synthetic winterizer. Professionally made Splyushka is stuffed with sliver.

Dots should mark the places where the hands are attached. Sew legs and arms by hand. Before sewing in the legs, make sure they are the same length. Align them if necessary.

Doll stuffing

Tilda Splyushka should be elastic and evenly stuffed. It is convenient to use a stick and tweezers to fill the doll with filler. With tweezers, a small amount of stuffing material is placed inside the part. Then rammed with a stick. It is necessary to repeat this action until each of their parts is tightly packed.

You need to stuff tightly so that there are no wrinkles on the body. Limbs should be elastic. At the same time, the open edge should remain free in order to sew comfortably. It depends on how carefully this stage is performed, whether Splyushka will be smooth and pleasant to the touch. A tilde doll for sleeping should not resemble an orange with tubercles.

Especially carefully you need to follow the stuffing of the convex parts of the Angel, such as the nose, heels, fingers on the hands. These places need to be filled very tightly so that they acquire the necessary shape. The head is filled with material atwith the help of a stick, and the torso can be filled simply with your fingers. The tummy should be fairly tight.

For more "soulfulness" of the doll, many put their hearts into it. The role of a toy heart can be played by a pendant, a button of the appropriate shape, a sequin, or it can be cut out of paper.

Pajamas for dolls

It is necessary to cut out the pajamas, complete the shoulder seams. Cut the sleeve, find the center of the eyelet. Join with shoulder seams. Lay out the sleeve, secure with a basting. Repeat the operation with the second sleeve. Stitch on a sewing machine. Finish sewing pajamas by processing the hem and sleeves. You can tuck the edge or process with glue cobwebs. Sew a collar along the outer edge. Carefully iron, turn out. It is recommended to sew the collar in accordance with all the rules, then Splyushka-tilde will look more neat. First, sew the outer part of the sleeve to the neck, then the inner part.

Sew the details of the wings together, leaving room for eversion. Iron and turn out. Wings can be made in different shapes and sizes. This detail is made from the same fabric as the body of the doll.

Put a shirt on a tilde, sew wings over pajamas, connecting them to the body.

Hair and face

For hairstyles, you need to take threads of the appropriate colors (yarn, boucle). Wind the yarn around the brush, attach to the head, sew with threads of a suitable color along the parting. A lush hairstyle should not be done, as a cap is put on top. Sew a cap, sew around the perimeter of the head. Any doll must havebe a face. Therefore, you need to draw eyes with acrylic paints or embroider them with threads. Sew or glue the hand to the place where the doll's mouth should be, imitating yawning. Attach a pillow to the second hand.

Fabric dyeing

Often there is no body fabric in the right color in the store. Therefore, you can buy a white one and dye it.

To dye coarse calico or white chintz, you need to prepare:

• suitable container;
• 1 tsp black tea;
• 1 tsp cinnamon;
• 1 tsp vanilla;
• 600 ml of water.

This coloring compound has been tried and tested many times. One serving is enough to change the color of 1 meter of fabric. Black tea is better to take Indian, as it does not give the material greenishness, leaving the necessary shade.

To dye the fabric, pour a mixture of vanillin, cinnamon and tea with boiling water. The liquid should stand for 10 minutes. After that, strain through several layers of cheesecloth so that even small particles do not remain.

Soak a 1 x 1 meter cloth in clean water, do not wring it out completely. Place in solution, stir. Keep in the composition for about 30 minutes, turning regularly. Squeeze and hang.

It is important that the fabric dries unfolded. Do not dry on a battery, as the coloring will be uneven.

For correct and uniform staining, the procedure must be repeated at least 3 times. Iron after final dry.
