This article will show you how to make a winter tree out of napkins, as well as using techniques such as beading. These types of needlework are quite common in our time. And doing this kind of creativity is a pleasure. Let's try to create a winter tree, the photo of which will help us with this.

Beading

Working with this technique is not easy, but let's try to figure it out and describe all the work step by step. To make a beaded winter tree, you will need the following materials:

  • wire;
  • white and brown threads;
  • base for wood (you can use a wooden cane);
  • ruler;
  • beads;
  • wire cutting pliers;
  • flower pot;
  • gypsum or alabaster, if the tree is supposed to be poured into a pot.

Do-it-yourself winter tree: getting started with beads

It is necessary to cut the wire 50–60 cm long. For a three-dimensional tree, about 100–120 pieces of cut wire are required. Branches will be made from them. You can not cut them right away, as the sizes may be different. More convenient to workfrom a spool of wire. Only after making the first two branches, you will understand how long the remaining pieces are needed.

To make counting easier, it is advisable to collect pieces of wire in groups of ten and tie them into a loose knot.

Creating branches

This is by far the most time consuming part of the whole process. By the way, if desired, instead of beads, you can use small beads. A winter tree should stand in the snow, so it is, of course, better to create it from white sparkling beads. But matte ones will also look good in the final composition.

Further step-by-step instructions are as follows:

  • We string the beads on a cut piece of wire 50 cm long. From 1.5 to 2 cm long. We place it approximately in the middle (the figure under the letter “a”) and return one of the ends of the wire, skipping 1 extreme bead. It will be the top of the first branch. We place everything in the same way in the middle of the wire (figure "b").
  • Next, we string 1 cm beads again on one of the ends and again return the wire back, skipping the first bead (picture "c").
  • Put on beads 0.5 cm in size on both ends of the wire (picture "d").
  • Repeat the same procedure on the second side of the future branch (drawing "e").
  • We continue to perform these steps alternately with one end, then with the other, until the cut piece of wire ends. At the same time, we observe a checkerboard pattern.

Assembly of twigs

Two types of assembly are used. You can take several branches and use white thread to tie them into a bundle. The result is a low but fluffy tree. Consider step-by-step instructions for the second option:

  • It is necessary to take a stiffer wire of a larger diameter and use white thread to wind the branches in a checkerboard pattern.
  • Attach the first one parallel to the base, that is, to a thick piece of wire. About 11 branches should be added, with each branch 2-3 cm longer than the previous one. This will give the tree a natural and realistic look.
  • The first branch will be the crown of the tree. If you make it 8 cm in size, then the next two should have the same length. The next two must be increased by 2 cm. This principle must be followed until the end of the work.
  • If you have made the required number of branches, but you still have extra pieces of wire with beads, then they can be wound to the trunk in any order.

Assembling the tree

It is necessary to take the base and screw the resulting branches to it. You should start with the smallest. It must be attached parallel to the base. The rest - distribute as they increase, adhering to a checkerboard pattern.

Then you should dilute gypsum or alabaster with water to the consistency of thick sour cream and pour the base of the tree in a flower pot. Everything must be done quickly, because the calcareous mineral substance hardens instantly. The tree should be held in a straightened form until the structure hardens. ATOtherwise, it may bend and freeze. It will be impossible to fix this. If you decorate a plaster in a pot with cotton wool or sparkles, this will complement the design and make it more realistic.

The beaded winter tree is ready. Try, fantasize, change colors, and you will succeed. If you repeat this technique with brown beads, you can create an autumn tree. Green will make a wonderful summer option.

Technique for creating a paper tree from napkins

Winter trees for miniature scenes are made from plain paper. They are made from stacks of paper snowflakes and are a great addition to a Christmas craft or winter table. For cutting, ordinary napkins are used. This method can be used in any school project for kids.

Winter paper trees are made from several layers of simple paper snowflakes, let's take a closer look at the technology.

Materials used to make snowflakes

We will need: light printer paper, sharp scissors and PVA glue.

The design is so simple that snowflakes easily adapt to more whimsical shapes. Try using floral or glitter wrapping paper or recycled newspaper to create your own style.

The trick to making these trees is to use a material that stacks well. Depending on the size of the tree you want to make, you only need a few sheets.

With paper,used for branches, you can change the structure of the tree.

Making a paper tree trunk

To make the trunk miniature, you need to cut a right triangle out of stiff paper. You can use printer sheets. The height of the tree will be equal to the largest side of the triangle cut out of paper.

Paper snowflakes will be installed along the trunk every 1-2 cm. The triangle will form a cone, which will act as a frame. The longer the base of the triangle, the wider the tree trunk will be at the bottom. If you are going to make some crafts for a school project, change the height and width of the trunk to make the forest or grove more interesting.

To assemble the tree trunk, start at the right corner side of your triangle and fold the paper as tight as you can from the right corner to the cross point at the bottom edge of the triangle. The stiffer you make the trunk, the easier it will be to add snowflakes. When you decide on a place, apply glue to the bottom (two centimeters wide) and stick it. If you use glue all over, you will not be able to tighten the barrel by twisting the roll at the top.

The next step is to cut out the blanks for the snowflakes. First you need to prepare a base of paper squares to get six- and twelve-pointed bases. Do-it-yourself winter tree to be made by learning how to cut snowflakes.

Sizes and quantities

How to determine the size of snowflakes needed for a particular tree?First you need to figure out where the branches will start from and how wide they will be. It is necessary to measure the distance from the mark to the top of the trunk. Every 1-2 cm, depending on the desired volume of the tree, paper branches will be placed. The top snowflake is usually 2-3 cm in diameter. For a tree, an average of six to eight snowflakes are used, cut from two sheets of A4 print paper.

The suggested sizes of the series of squares can be as follows: from 5 to 1.5 cm. The difference between them should be from 1 to 0.5 cm. It is important to determine the width of the base snowflake, and from there follow the path of decreasing the size. It is important to make sure that the blanks for snowflakes are square in shape. To do this, they need to be folded in four and cut off the excess after the second fold.

Snowflake blanks

For blanks, you can use the standard four folds, but then the tree will not look rounded, as it will be with a twelve- or six-pointed star. To achieve this, you need to fold the square of paper into a triangle and make sure there is a slight crease to mark the middle line of the base of the triangle with a dot.

Next, you have to fold one edge up at a point at an angle of 30 degrees, and the second one down so that the free side coincides with the line of the previous fold. Two formed corners, folded in the center, form a blank for a six-pointed star.

It is necessary to trim the edges of the folds to make a rounded shape for the future snowflake. The blank is ready for cutting out the pattern.

Last step

How to cut a patterned snowflake for a miniature winter tree? In the middle of the workpiece, it is necessary to make a hole for the barrel. After that, you can experiment, choose different snowflake models that are suitable for the selected tree style. They don't have to be the same.

Start assembling the tree with the largest, not forgetting to glue in the right places. From the top of the tree, it should be carefully moved down the trunk, turning slightly. If desired, you can curl the ends of the snowflake with a ruler. Although they also look great without this procedure.

The paper winter tree is ready. Create your own variations and participate in school competitions.
