Number puzzles
Perhaps the most popular puzzle of our time is Sudoku.
Sudoku is Japanese for "numbers standing apart".
This game is a 9x9 square made up of small 3x3 squares. In complex games, squares can be larger - 15x15, 25x25 or more. In several cells, the numbers are written in advance - this is the key to the puzzle.
Puzzles where the additional conditions of the problem - numbers from 1 to 9 - are placed on diagonals, are called "Diagonal Sudoku", or, in the English version, Sudoku X.
The method of solving the problem is similar to scanning - a row is selected in the square that is most filled with key numbers - the fewer empty cells, the easier it is to find the missing number.
Diagonal Sudoku also, in turn, have different variations and combinations.
Problem Options
Diagonals canbe large and small - in the main square, in blocks of small squares, angular and broken lines.
- Colored Diagonal - Sudoku, in which numerical values must be placed separately in each colored block.
- A more complex Sudoku diagonal is the antidiagonal - there are only three different numbers on the diagonals of the square.
- A pandiagonal square whose rows, columns and diagonals contain numbers from 1 to 25 - the diagonals in this Sudoku are hard. Interestingly, it is impossible to make a smaller pandiagonal square. One of the numbers that is not in the selected row is tried on in order to all the empty cells of the row. If this number is not in the intersection of the cells, it can be put in the cell.
Do this operation until all empty cells are filled. And we check the columns, small squares 3x3 and diagonally so that the numbers do not repeat.
