Every person is a master and a creator. The energy splashing in us needs to be released. Sometimes it finds its application in creativity and creating crafts with your own hands. DIY paper wallet, newspaper crafts, bags, alterations of men's shirts and jeans. Reworking old furniture and furniture made of cardboard, flavorings from dough and oils and remelting old candles, paintings from nails and adhesive tape, flowers from beads and satin ribbons, using empty plastic bottles and reels of adhesive tape - people's imagination has no limits. This master class will tell you how to make a leather wallet with your own hands.
An old leather cowboy boot was used as the starting material for the craft. You can use any other leather material. Or even a substitute. It is completely unprincipled what material is used in the manufacture of crafts: the main thing is that it be heavy-duty. A DIY wallet is always original and stylish. Who said that you have to spend crazy money to purchase a designer's creation? You can make an awesome DIY wallet.
To sew a walletwith your own hands, you will need:
1. As mentioned above - an old leather cowboy boot.
2. Waxed thread.
3. Seam ripper.
4. Shilo.
5. Ruler.
6. Scissors.
7. Needles.
8. Miniature cutter.
9. Manual sewing machine. By the way, this tool was not needed in this master class: we used a regular needle.
Let's get started. Cut off the upper part of the boot and remove plaque, s alt and other substances from it.
The best way to clean used material is dishwashing liquid.
After that, dry in the fresh air for a day.
Use the ripper to remove from the top of the patch.
Then cut the top along the seam and remove the seams and threads.
The result is the following blank for crafts.
Using a ruler and a miniature cutter, cut off the most homogeneous part of the material (without transitions and inserts).
From the second piece of material we cut out two identical blanks for the inside of the craft.
Three leather pieces with the same patterns will be combined into a wonderful wallet. With your own hands, from this material, you can sew not only a wallet, but also, if desired, a cover for documents.
Next, using an awl and a ruler around the perimeter of the large piece and on three sides of the small pieces, we make holes at a distance of 5 mm from each other. On smaller pieces, pierce two smaller sides and one larger side.
This is how our pieces will look before the last step:
In order to make your own wallet from these pieces, you can use a manual sewing machine or thread with two needles. The second option was used in the master class.
In order to create a harmonious and beautiful seam, two needles pass through one hole: first a needle on the right side, then on the left side.
This is the last step. Nothing complicated, but in the end you get a stylish wallet in the South American style.
From each seemingly unnecessary thing, you can make a truly interesting and creative product. Look carefully, maybe it makes sense to breathe a second life into what you are going to throw away?
