You can make this type of craft with the smallest children. Planar applique is the traditional and easiest way to make a product using this technique. It is characterized by the fact that the wrong side of all elements is smeared with glue and attached to a paper or cardboard base.
The following instructions detail how to make a flat flower appliqué.
- From colored paper, cut a strip for the entire length of the sheet and a width of about five centimeters. Fold this blank with an accordion. On one side drawa petal of any shape you desire. Cut out several of these parts at once. You will get as many petals as there were folds in the accordion.
- Make the middle of the future flower out of paper of a different color. Draw a circle on it with a compass or circle any round object that fits in size and cut it out.
- A strip of green paper about a centimeter wide is a stalk. Cut out two or three oval-shaped leaves from the same material.
- Lay out all the details on cardboard (paper) as you plan to stick them.
- Starting from the element of the middle of the flower, smear the blanks with glue in turn and attach them to the paper base. Remove excess glue with a napkin.
- Leave the product to dry at room temperature, pressing down on top of it with a flat object (book, album, tablet).

- Bend each petal by running a scissor blade over it.

- On the cardboard, mark the place where the middle of the flower will be located. Attach the petals to this point, smearing only this smooth edge with glue. Attach a round yellow center on top.
- Spread the leaves with glue only along the fold line and attach them to the cardboard base in the right places.
- Let the item dry. Do not put anything on top of the craft so that it does not lose its volume.
