If you get carried away, you will be able to create real patchwork masterpieces in the future, which will be a very appropriate gift for friends andrelatives.

So, in order to sew a patchwork quilt with your own hands, you first need to decide on its size. For example, for a double bedspread, you will need to cut out 49 squares with sides of 32 cm each. Take a fabric of various sizes, both in color and texture. The main thing is that the overall combination of pieces is pleasing to the eye. Lay out the cut out squares in seven rows (seven shreds in each). This will allow you to see the big picture of what your future will look like patchwork

When you are satisfied, all you have to do is sew them together in the same order as they were laid out. After that, the sewn must be unfolded with the seam up and ironed along its center. We straighten it well in the corners and manually sew the hole with a hidden seam. A couple more moments - and the patchwork quilt will be completely ready. All that is left is to quilt it and, if desired, decorate it with accessories. To do this, stitch the product through with a gypsy needle in those places where the corners of the squares converge. In the same places you can sew fabric flowers, bows or whatever you want.
